Non carbohydrate wrap? I have diabetes and have to avoid bread?

and crackers and tortillas. But I would really like to find something in which I could wrap up my sprouts and chicken and cucumbers. Is there anything like this? Maybe made out of seaweed? (Please don't tell me I can have carbohydrates if I only eat a little - believe me, I know what will send my blood sugar sailing.)

and I have high cholesteral, so I try to avoid cheese. Also, I know that you can eat the taco or sandwich filling without the bread or tortilla.

Thanks a bunch!

Every plant item, including seaweed, has at least some carbs, but some are just very low in carbs. Your sprouts and cucumbers definitely have carbs in them.

I would suggest a lettuce wrap.

It's not just bread but also fruit that you can eat a limited amount. Anyway, a nice wrap is with cabbage leaves. You need to blanch some large leaves of cabbage (pointed cabbage will work, or even Savoy cabbage or similar) in boiling water and then leave them to cool down before stuffing them. You may want to use two leaves piled up to prevent any from breaking and losing the stuffing. I think cabbage will be less expensive than seaweed.

Try wrapping it in large lettuce leaves (bib lettuce will work fine) Not only is it healthy, but it works with a diabetic diet and will add a nice crisp to your chicken

Try iceberg lettuce. If you have a health food store nearby,,,, like Whole Foods.... I am almost certain they have a gluten free bread.

Use a lettuce or pita or whole-wheat wrap.

    For crackers--WHole-wheat crackers

    Tortillas--whole wheat
