How do I get to the >C:\ on My Computer. Running Windows XP Home edition?

Update:

The start run cmd. Only takes me back to the Windows window for C drive.

I do not have a Windows button on my laptop.

I need to get back to the "root directory" for C drive. Like you used before we had Windows.

Update 2:

It's referred to as the DOS prompt.

Update 3:

Hey thanks for your attempts, but I found it! Go to start - find- type in prompt.

Essentially you have to Run>cmd. If you don't have the 'start' button on the window, try pressing the windows key on the key pad. You can get the same thing if you press Ctrl+Esc. Click run, type cmd.
