if a father terminates his rights, that's it. he has no more rights to or responsibilities to that child than a complete stranger. I have rarely heard of cases where the termination was revoked, but the man had to prove that he was threatened coerced or in the thrawl of a drug addiction. otherwise no court will reverse a termination.

He may not have, and may not be able to get legal rights as a father back.
But if he's an adult without drinking or drug problems, ect, the guardian of the child, (the mother ? ) will let him see the child even if only when she is there also.
Because no matter what the court says, a child needs to know a father and a mother. And a parent who really cares about the child will understand that and facilitate visitation as long as it's good for the child.

this is a tough question. because I know of a situation where the mother just vanished, and never showed up to any court appearances. So she has no rights, and actually has a restraining order against her (for threats). But, if she were to decide she wanted rights she could fight, and probably at least get visitation. I don't know how it works if you knowningly sign away your child.
but I do know that this country cares more about the parents than the children. They'll do anything ANYTHING to get the child to stay with their natural parent, no matter how much of a crap-head they are. At least, from working with DCFS that's how it seems.
and just because he signed custody to his father, doesn't mean he gave up his rights. they could have joint custody, or temporary custody.

None... Mine signed them off, and was given an option to come contest if he felt the need to after he signed it. It was kind of a last deal before the judge ruled it. Unless they show, NOTHING can be done by the father to try to gain any rights back.

If he signed off in court with a judge then there is nothing that he can do. Its too late once its been done with a judge approving it.

he can fight for it no matter if he is there or not, he is blood and he does have rights. but i would suggest to him if hes coming into the childs life to not walk out of it
