Saddam Hussein played a cat and mouse game with U.N. inspectors for around 10 years. The U.N. passed resolutions against Iraq involving nuclear development, and Saddam defied many of these resolutions. Saddam led the U.S. to believe that Iraq was a lot more advanced than we thought on nuclear development. So, is this Bush's fault? Hindsight is always 20/20. Muslim countries like to intimidate and bluff. Will they always bluff? A lot of times they bluff like this just to get financial incentives to not build nuclear weapons. they're looking for a handout. Hopefully we will have better inside intelligence on these countries, like Iran or Syria. Then just drop a bomb on the facilities when we know where there at.

Republicans love war, there is no doubt about it.
There were probably many "reasons" for going to war, but the correct term would be excuses. Yes, they thought they was a connection to 9-11, now we find there wasn't...but how would it look if we sat down and did nothing.
We went to Iraq on "Operation Iraqy Freedom" (or Operation Iraqy Destruction as is more appropriate) so it looked like we were doing something.
We Americans don't like sitting back and lounging around after all...

We invaded as a result of flawed intelligence, & trying to finish what Bush's father started. Although & disagree with the motives of us being in Iraq, I fully support our troops whom had no choice in being deployed.

You summed it up pretty well. Now what was the surge suppose to do. Oh yeah, let the government make progress. They are taking the 2nd entire month off in less than 6 months time.
August was too hot, and I guess Decemeber is as well.

Bush43 invaded Iraq solely for vengeance.
Bush43 was upset that Saddam threatened to kill Bush41.
The is a clip of Bush43 on the campaign trail in 2000 stating Saddam threatened to kill his daddy.
