( ID ?) I haven't flown since before Sept 11 attacks?

And if I had my way, I'd never get on an airplane again. But I guess that's another matter.....

Any way, soon I need to take a domestic flight. Atlanta to Bloomington IL

Will my valid driver's license be enough ID to satisfy the airline and airport security?

Update:

Thanks for anwers so far. And I will check out the airline's website.

And, yes, I'm aware that flying is safer than driving. But take my word for it; some of us really dislike flying anyway.

Personally, I'm unable to forget that I'm 5 or 6 miles above the ground. Man, what a horrible feeling!

But thanks all the same

Domestic flights need only a state-issued ID card like a drivers license.

I've been through the Atlanta Security many times, only needed a Drivers license, and stated laws only require a valid State or Government issued ID card. Passport or drivers license.

It's statistically safer to fly than it is to drive.

"Flying is about 100x safer, because I guess we

drive and fly the same number of miles (give or take a factor or 2-5) per

year, yet fatalities are 200 times higher for autos than for airlines."

    that said:

I think you need to bring a state or country issued photo i.d. with you for check-in, check out the airline's website.

A passport - even for domestic flights - is the easiest way to go.
