Mich couldn't get Miles because he already signed with LSU anyway. Any college can support a coach as long as they raise money from the season. It's not like they pay the 4 million in one check.

The University of Michigan happens to be a very wealthy school even more so than LSU. As GOT HART?™ said, U of M puts more money into education, research, and its world renowned hospital than it does to its athletic program. They can afford to bring Les Miles with ease it is just that Michigan is starting to look elsewhere for a replacement for Lloyd Carr.

Get your head out of the SEC's *** for a second. You act like the Michigan program doesn't have any money. I assure you they can afford him as much as any other school in the country can. Is LSU the New York Yankees all of a sudden? Last I checked Michigan puts more butts in the seats of their home games then LSU. Not to mention a larger alumni.

Michigan can definatly afford him they are very wealthy they just put more of there money into education and research and funding there world renowned hospital and not on sports like OSU and other skools like that

    EDIT

the video says nothing about michigan not having the money they just say miles contract is just Huge bc LSU is scared that there nothing with out there precious coach

Michigan is loaded. Their stadium seats over 100,000 fans. They share in Big Ten TV.

I still don't think they'll get Miles though. The guy has come out twice and said NO now. What respect can he hope for if he switches?

Besides, at LSU he gets to beat the Buckeyes. Michigan hasn't done that in a while. I bet he gives tickets to Lloyd Carr, so he can watch LSU beat them.

I think that you should just pay attention to the Tigers. If he's staying put down there what's your beef with Michigan?

Michigan has plenty of money, and they don't want him just as he says he's staying put.

Both would be fools to lay out , or take, $ 4 million in one year. They're paid by an annuity over a course of several years.

yes they can definitely afford him, but i think they need to get Harbaugh from Stanford bring back a UM alum to coach the team or atleast look at whos out there looking for a head coahc job i see about 6 or 7 very skilled black coaches that have been passed over so far and it seems none will get a shot and this is coming from a white guy

Michigan is a rich college, they are just known for having very "tight pockets and wallets" when it comes to paying coaches.

You're joking right? Michigan is one of the richest schools in the world.
