    Two questions:

    1. Why would you have sex, against the doctors orders?

    2. Why would you have unprotected sex, against the doctors orders?

You don't have an epididymis, so you can't get that infection, but another type of infection is always possible.

Let us know how it all turns out. Good luck.

Ultimately it seems very likely that the cause was the unprotected anal sex. Epididymitis should be pretty painful for him, but if you are having sex it should be protected. You should certainly be evaluated and treated, and it's probably evident if you have some sort of an infection by now anyway. Finish the whole course of the antibiotic and both of you get re-evaluated. Then go back to having unprotected sex if your comfortable with that but he is probably prone to this condition and both of you should re-think anal sex without protection. Lastly he should evaluate his fertility at this point especially if this is a chronic condition for him.

you should really leave it alone until it heals, also The flow of sperm through the epididymis during the early phase can only cause more inflammation and damage.

It may infect you if your immune system is weak.

depends on the consequences of his disease.Next time listen to your doctor, and you won't have to worry about having it or not.

no chance of your getting infected if he has had antibiotics and discharged.
