Hey yall. Does anyone have a recipe for the Jack in the Box macaroni and cheese bites?

I have looked at all the most obvious search sites, I would like one that is very close to the fast food version, my husband loves them. Thanks!

Leftover baked macaroni and cheese, refrigerated for at least overnight

    1 cup all-purpose flour

    1 teaspoon salt

    1 teaspoon pepper

    1 teaspoon cayenne

1 egg beaten with 2 ounces water

    1 cup panko bread crumbs

Oil for deep frying, preheated to 375 degrees

Cut refrigerated macaroni and cheese into slices or bite size pieces.

Season the flour with salt, pepper and cayenne. Dredge each piece through the flour and gently tap off excess. Dip in the egg wash and then coat with the bread crumbs. Allow them to rest for 5 minutes so the crust can set. Very carefully drop into the oil and fry until golden brown. Remove to a baking sheet fitted with a rack and rest for 2 minutes before serving.

    4 tablespoons butter, divided

    2 tablespoons flour

    1/4 teaspoon salt

    Pepper to taste

    1 cup whole milk

1/2 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

4 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked and drained

    Thin baguette slices

    Fresh basil leaves

    1 cup breadcrumbs

    Paprika

    What to Do

    1. In saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter on medium-low heat; add flour until blended. Add salt, pepper and milk. Cook, stirring until thickened. Add cheese; stir until melted. Add macaroni until well blended.

    2. Line a slice of baguette with a basil leaf. Top with about 1 tablespoon mac and cheese.

    3. Toss breadcrumbs with remaining 2 tablespoons butter (melted); press onto macaroni. Sprinkle with paprika. Broil 4 inches from heat until browned.

    Makes about 48.
