Can you get to heaven by grace or is it only through salvation? I have been taught through salvation only.?
This question was posed to us by somebody, and I have always thought that grace and salvation went hand in hand. Am I wrong? I should know this but I am not a bible scholar.

Ephesians 2:8 - For it is by grace you have been saved. You get to Heaven by salvation, you get salvation by grace.

Eph 2:8 yes, but Jesus also said "If you love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15; also Ex 16:28; 20:6; Lev 22:31; 26:3; Deu 5:10; 1 Kings 9:6; 2 Kings 17:13; Neh 1:9; Pro 3:1; 4:4; 7:2; John 15:10; Rev 12:17; 14:12.

Good question. Grace won't always be enough, to get you into heaven. Grace plays a huge role, however salvation is the key.

Both. By God's grace we are saved and Jesus' sacrifice on the cross guaranteed all of the true believer's salvation. Because of God's grace He sent His Only Son to earth to die for us.

Grace. By the grace of God we are saved. Ephesians 2:5 ....it is by grace you have been saved. Also Ephsians 2:8 It is by grace you have been saved, through faith -and this not from yourselves , it is a gift of God , not by works so that noone can boast.

we get to heaven (or whatever concept you have of it) with salvation, we get salvation by grace, we get grace after all we can do.

I mean, think about it, supposedly, you are much too sinful to be like God so, that is why Jesus died for you. If you're still not saved, does Jesus need to die for you again? If it is through works then, who does the scoring? Do you get a report card once a year or something?
