I am having back surgery.....?

I am having back surgery and will be out of work for 3 months, can I get state disability? I am in Illinois. Also, where would I go to apply for it?

    no that is what supplemental insurance is for.

    I would like to know what kind of surgery you are going to have to be out 3 months or so. In 1956 I had a spinal fusion done on what is called L-5. The surgeon told me to go home for a month and he would see me then when HE returned from vacation. I went back in a month and he said I could go back to work but not to lift anything heavier that 25 pounds. I did service work on gas appliances etc.
