Dry/Dead Skin on Feet...?

The heels of me feet are horrendous, extremely rough and white. I've tried using pumus stone, lotions, etc to improve them, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions

Update:

oops, I meant pumice

My heels used to be all dried and cracked and VERY painful, but they are fine now and it took only a couple weeks.

First, get a foot file. You can get them in the Dr. Scholl section of Wal-Mart or Walgreen's or a big supermarket. If there is a Sally Beauty near you, they have lots of heel treatment creams that work, otherwise you can use the Dr. Scholl brand for that, too.

Take baths, not showers, so your feet soak at least ten minutes then use the file. Don't go at it so hard you cause pain and damage--just file a sensible amount. Dry off your feet, apply the cream, and wear socks and shoes. Do this every day. Don't wear sandals or go barefoot or wear nylons until your heels are better.

At night, wash your feet and reapply the cream and put on socks...you can take them off later if you can't sleep in them.

This WILL work--you just have to stick with it. After your feet are all better, you can relax about the filing and creaming, but don't forget about it entirely or you will find yourself right back in the same spot.

    Bad Feet Skin

Some of my clients have had this type of problem on their feet. My suggestion has been almond oil left on wet after a shower for 5 to 10 mins, then pat dry. As weird as this may sound but it does work. Before putting your shoes on, (with socks) apply oil to your feet, while still wet put on your socks then your shoes, and leave on all day. In 2 to 3 weeks you will be amazed at the results.

Go get a spa pedicure. It will cost about $25, but it is so worth it. They will shave off the dead skin (it does not hurt at all), make the foot area smooth and soft, then you get a leg and foot massage with cream. Usually they have you sitting in a shiatsu massage chair listening to relaxing music. I'm a spa ped junkie!

Mine aren't that bad, but sometimes at night, I put lots of vaseline on them, put on socks, and go to sleep. The next morning, my whole feet looks really pretty :) I would suggest trying that, or try it while you are awake but maybe you can even use saran wrap under your socks. Then, when the skin on your heels become soft and moist from the vaseline, use the pumice stone or cuticle cutters to file/cut away the extra skin!

If you have a Body Shop near you, then go and get a foot file. Absolutely marvelous. You use it on completely dry feet. Bath or shower after you have filed and then apply moisturiser. BRILLIANT!!!!!!

Rescue Balm!!!! It is a life saver. You can only get it from Bee Royal. It is the best for your heels.

Also for an added treat get their Peppermint Foot Wash. It is oh my gosh so wonderful. You rub it in and it's like Heaven for your feet.
