Why do Americans allow big business, like football and movies and corporate entities to rule our lives?

Not only Americans. Only we have the real football over here as it is a game that you play with your feet, not with your hands.

You think this is the first time a football game was ever played in the snow? Sheesh, those are the best games to watch and frankly, to play in!

Ever go skiing or camping, or any place else where there is snow? Does life stop, or does life spring up when someplace like Lake Tahoe gets 4 feet of snow (which happens routinely?) Hint: people race the storm across California to get there!

Not only Americans, Europeans and those from other continents do as well.

And the first poster is right about the football comment, the United Statesian game commonly known as American football is a misnomer, it should be known as United Statesian handball. As it is played with the ball on the players hands most of the time.

Because they are just ignorant. They think some stupid sport is worth risking their lives (and the lives of others) over. Then when they get hurt they whine and cry and look for who to sue instead of taking responsibility for their own actions.

I don't like football or movies, and there is no ice here.

They may rule you life. But they certainly don't rule mine.
