Is the Nightly News Helping Ron Paul by Not Mentioning Him?

Update:

He had another record breaking fund raising campaign yesterday and nary a word mentioned on any of the network nightly "news" programs.

Just wanted to let you know. Many "average" people are noticing this as well now. I also had a professor approach me on this today to point that fact out. He was kinda stunned. And another gentleman at work pointed it out as well. Give it a little more time.

I would think yes. But then again, no one really watches the nightly news much anyway because it isn't "news" anymore. It is Brittany, it is Paris, it is winning lottery numbers, it is cooking receipes, it is how to lose weight, Stormwatch 2008, holiday shopping causes crowds at malls ( gee big news item there ) - but they don't cover anything other than what the FCC allows and what the owners of the station feel will support their own political agendas.

Anyway, I get political news from sources other than TV and radio. And yes I also think Dr. Paul is credible, even if his articulation skills need improving to get his message across. CNN does this "Election/Decision 2008" coverage, and they say they have all the latest on the candidates. The reality is, they only cover those with a D or an R next to their name, and have totally ignored the other 26 parties and candidates in the 2008 presidential election. They have done NO coverage on how the Electoral College works ( or I should say, doesn't work ), or anything other than what fits in a sound bite.

TV's nightly news. Actually it is TV's nightly entertainment news which is all about ratings , not real unbiased news. Hardball, Countdown, Morning Joe, O'Reilly Factor are all junk news. They are programs designed to try to sway the thinking of the electorate. The media conglomerates are part of corporate America. The host of these programs are all high prices talking heads, benefiting very much from the great tax breaks of this administration & employees of corporate America. THey will in no small way downplay any threat to the status quo in the political spectrum. Ron paul will get no help from the media.

I rarely watch TV news, and naively, but happily recorded "nightly" news on Fox, and CNN/CNN Headline news. All I saw was fluff about a local killer, witness protection program, Huckabee tripping himself up for almost an hour on Larry King, and wacky stuff in general, things that are news from last week with Anderson Cooper. Anderson also talked about Huckabee, with David Gergen, and the FRC president. That was it. Wasted my night, who watches TV anymore to get the news? It's worse than dial-up, I swear!

    LAME!

HOWEVER, I did see flashes here and there of Ron Paul's face, for about 5 seconds each, saying he will be on Glenn Beck for an HOUR on Tuesday, 7 EST time. I think Glenn is on CNN HN, not sure. Glenn seems to agree with 80% of Ron's positions, hopefully it turns out good. I wish Ron could be on Larry King. Gore, Bush Sr, and every major candidate since then have been on Larry King as far as I can remember.

They are certainly showing that the media wants to limit our choices for president.
