Jesus Christ was born in Jerusalem, which is a fertile valley. Land of honey and fig and zaitoon, all green.
Makkah is a barren valley, looked down by the infidels. But God mirculously created fountain of Zamzam there making it inhabitable. Then true to the prayer of Abraham, He has provided Makkans with fruits of every region. Even during Hajj when 3.0 Million people flock from all over the world, I have bought apples and oranges at 5 Rials a kilo. Come 20th century and the world's largest oil reserve is found in
Saudi Arabia. Oil is power without which world is powerless.
So God's grace is manifest in strange ways.

Exactly. It doesn't mention anything beyond what occurred in the backyard of the middle east. No mention of America, Australia, kangaroos, abolition... In fact, the bible not only remains silent on the abolition of slavery, it frequently condones slavery. I mean, if morality is god given, how come slavery is so abhorrent to us, but was fine 2000 years ago? God hasn't changed - after all, he is the "I Am", yet we are aware slavery is immoral but god wasn't... This is highly unusual...
Oh, that first answer made me laugh! Watching it unfold, are we? Does the bible mention anything specific? For example, wars, earthquakes and floods always occur, but does the bible mention anything about the locations of floods, dates, death tolls, names... you know, all that stuff that would make it a genuine prophecy, not just some vague prediction...?
Hmm, didn't think so...

you would say the same thing if the books were from some other place.
you -> they are form this place seems like did not know the desert existed...
so .. sorry that that argument does not hold.
The Quran talks about a lot of things ... scientific facts that the "scientists" are discovering now. Talks about future events which we see happening.
Just for the sake of knowledge of what you are talking ...pick up a Quran and read through it.

Actually, the Bible was NOT written 'in the desert'. At the time, the place was the Fertile Crescent, if you had been awake during your history classes.

The fertile Nile River Valley?
Northern Israel?
Hula Valley?
Mount Herman?
The Galilee region?
You are apparently ignorant of the Bible AND world geography

No information about the future of the world? You've got to be kidding. He put the future of the world all through the Bible and we're still watching it unfold today. (Everything that has ever happened to Israel, for example.)
The Koran is a cheap ripoff of the Bible that doesn't make any coherent sense at all.

Because it was written by shepherds, and that's where shepherds thrive (not necessarily in desserts, but everywhere you don't find farmers).
Had the Bible been written by farmers, it would all take place in the winter when they didn't have anything else to do, and it would all be about beer.
(Did you know that when writing was first invented about 3500 BC, there was already a symbol for beer?)
