What do you make of this?
My daughter has thrown up three times in the last five days. She threw up on Thursday night around 11 so I kept her home from school on Friday, but she was fine all day. She was fin until sunday around 10:30p.m. when she threw up again. I went ahead and sent her to school on monday because we are moving, she didn't have a fever and she seemed find when I dropped her off. She was fine all day until 10:30 again last night when she threw up again. She got up this morning happy and cheerful, and fever free. she said she felt fine. I gave her some claritin in case it was allergies and I sent her to school. She's only three, but she seems fine other than those three instances.
I'm not thinking it's food related because we haven't had the same thing two days in a row. I am wondering if it's a pet allergy. Like someone mentioned if the phelm is settling in her stomach then when she lays down it could cause this reaction. Her dad does the same thing when his allergies are bad. The tenants before us in this house had dogs, and I suppose the dander could still be in the carpet. My allergies are pretty bad right now. I gave her allergy medicine this morning, I hope that's what it is. I may wind up renting a rug doctor to shampoo the carpets because of our allergies.

If she has snotty nose it could be she is throwing up from the phlegm. My daughter does this whenever she gets a cold because she doesn't blow her nose properly yet, she's 4. Anyway, tis the season and all sorts of crap is going around. Hopefully she'll be all better soon.
Note if it is a sinus infection or strep throat or something like that you really need to get to the doctor for antibiotics. If her breath is bad it could be a sinus infection. So check. They are hard to get rid of.

This has to be something that she is eating. And most likely something she is eating at night. I say this because my 4 1/2 yr old daughter had fish sticks for dinner on 2 different occasions and both times she threw up around 9 pm. She ate them before that just 3 hours earlier. The next day she was fine.
Did your daughter throw up multiple times at night or just once? Mine did about 3 times. No fever though. I don't think she is sick from allergies from previous owners either. It must be something she ate. Even something at school. But since she threw up Sunday, hmmmm I don't know. If she doesn't like what she is eating, don't make her eat it. I noticed that the 2nd time I gave my daughter fish sticks, she didn't want to eat them but we told her to. Of course now we know. Hope you find out what it is.

As others said, it could have been something she ate. However, the general rule is a child should go 24 hours without vomiting before returning to school. She may have just overdone it when she went back on Monday. I had the exact same problem with my three - year - old two weeks ago -
he was sick one day, so he took it easy. He went two days without getting sick again, but then he started vomiting again. If she does it again, keep her home and make sure she goes at least 24 hours without vomiting before going back to school. Also, if she does it again, I'd definitely call the pediatrician. After she's sick, make sure she eats just Pedialyte, toast, crackers, etc. for 24 hours. I hope the bug is out of her system soon!

It sounds like either a reaction to a food or nerves. Since you are moving, I'm betting it is her nerves. Try to console her that moving is fun and that she can have a new room that she can help decorate. If she's changing schools, talk about all the new people and how she'll now have even more friends. If she's not, tell her that she will not be losing her friends and will still be there. You may need to give her some extra snuggles and reassurances. Good luck.

Was she already asleep when she threw up? I ask because 10:30 or 11 PM is pretty late for her to be awake. I was wondering if there was some reason for her to still be awake if she hadn't been to sleep yet. Like maybe she's afraid of going to sleep.
My little sister went through a spell of that when she was quite young. She'd has a couple nightmares that scared her badly and for a while after that, almost every night when my parents told her it was time for bed, she'd start feeling sick and throw up.

Maybe it was something she ate that didn't fully come out of her system. I would suggest taking her to a doctor just for a check up if you want to be completely safe. When I have a cold, I usually feel sick in the mornings and night time, but during the day, I feel fine.

Hmm, thats odd. Check for patterns, has she been taking the same medications, eating the same foods, or drinking the same drink? I have some food allergies and if I ate something that I was allergic to about the same time everyday (supper time, perhaps?), I would be throwing up too.

What do you give her to drink before bed? maybe she had something that isn't agreeing with her. or it could just be on of them things. she is at school so it could but something that is passed on. there are a lot of things that kids get. my son was fine in the day...No fever or anything, then as soon as night come in his ear world her and he was feeling sick....I wouldn't worry but if she don't improve i would go and see your doctor. hope this helps
all the best

She has a stomach virus. It usually happens around this season. its like out of the blue they are fine, next they stand there and throw up. Its weird, but its a stomach virus. She will be fine, but if you don't think thats it. take her to her doctors

I would take her to the doctor. Throwing up like that is not normal. It could be bug but usually they pass it in a few days.Or just call the doctor and she can recommend what you can do.Best wishes.
