??? is it morally wrong to hire illegal aliens ???
The federal government had passed the Immigration and Reform Act of 1986 to let the American people know, hiring illegal aliens is wrong, and the practice must come to a stop !! However, they had also slipped a loophole in the law to allow business to hire illegals, and still be in compliance of the law !! The law requires job applicants to produce documents to prove they have the legal right to work in America. But it did not require employers to authenticate (verify) these documents, which essentially means FAKE SOCIAL SECURITY CARDS, FAKE BIRTH CERTIFICATES, AND FAKE IDENTIFICATION CARDS are legally acceptable. These loopholes have tremendous implications on what our elected senators and congress members believe, regarding illegal aliens. On the surface, 1986 IRCA was passed to appease voters, but underneath, our elected officials do not see hiring illegal aliens as morally wrong.
illegal aliens not only benefit corporations' profit and productivity margins, but they make this nation stronger in todays global market competitive environment. While it is possible (wheres the scientific data to support this ??) that illegals do drive down wages and working standards, the American people are not without recourse. We are a nation with the finest education system. The blue collar, low-skilled, working class Americans must simply undergo a career change, and pursue a bachelors degree. Some may argue that this nation had prospered for over 200 years without illegals, but in the last 200 years, America had a manufacturing and technological advantage. We dominated these areas, which allowed business to function effectively without illegals. The business environment had changed dramatically in the last half century.
We not only face stiff foreign competition, but the American people, the very same ones crying "WE DON'T WANT ILLEGALS IN OUR COUNTRY !!" are choosing to buy imported goods, over American-made products. To give the American people what they want, which is lower priced consumer goods, we must lower our labor costs. This is why our elected officials had slipped this loophole; they not only support illegals in the labor force, but they know we cannot compete in todays global market economy without illegal aliens .

Well this explains why my competitors are getting ahead of me. I'm going to get rid of all my staff. If they're 1 minute late, they're gone for tardiness !! If they raise their voice, they're gone for insubordination !! If something doesn't look right in the way they did their job, they're gone for failure to follow instructions !! I'm going to replace all my staff with illegals to remain competitive.

From what I know of your immigration laws: 1. People who are not in the US legally cannot and should not engage in employment, so the two of you (employer and employee) are breaking a provision of the immigration and nationality act. 2. When you hired the alien, you had an agreement to compensate him for services rendered. Regardless of the illegality of the act that you two have already committed when you hired and he agreed to work for you, if you don't pay him, that would be ETHICALLY wrong as you are or won't pay for the work rendered by your employee.

Morally or legally, it is wrong. I see the solution as putting every CEO and Head of HR in prison for five years for each illegal they allowed to be hired. The VERY SAME DAY this becomes law there will not be another illegal hired anywhere. They say they can't tell if they are really illegal or not but when it comes to the big guys asss is going to prison to provide entertainment for the prisoners the sure will find a way that is 100% accurate before they hire anybody.

There is no stiff foreign competition - just cheap foreign labor.
Every law they have passed since the 60's has been detrimental to US citizens - that is why they put the loopholes in and put a marketing spin on them.
Our elected officials have no morals.
Wave bye bye to Western Civilization and say hello to the New World Order - your chip is waiting to be implanted in you.

How do you out-source construction?
Hispanic workers landed two out of every three new construction jobs in 2006, benefiting from strong employment growth in the industry even as the housing market endured a year-long slump.
The construction industry continues to be a key source of jobs for Hispanics and especially for those who are foreign born. The vast majority of new construction jobs in 2006 were filled by foreign-born Latinos, many of them recently arrived.
Construction is what 40% of illegal aliens do for work.

As an employer I should be allowed to hire whoever I please as long as I comply with labor laws. I think every employer should be required to ask for proof to legally work in this country regardless of how good one's english is.

Yes, it is morally wrong to hire illegals. They are not eligible to be hired because they are not legal residents and they don't have a legal Social Security nember. Any prospective employer should feel a moral obligation to make sure that those he has hired are legal. It is HIS responsibility to see to it that those who work for him are who they say they are.

It's immoral that not all human beings have equal opportunities, something must to go very wrong in the world. It's immoral that some people think they are superior to other people just based on their nationality. We all are the same and deserve the same, no matter where we are coming from.Unfortunately it's illegal but NOT MORALLY WRONG.
