Why do health care costs keep rising?
This fascinates me because I am a healthy person and yet my rates go up every year. I have 2 cars and a home, and have not made a claim for years. That insurance goes down every year, plus with the multi-line discounts...even better. So why does my health insurance rise every year despite my good health? Shouldn't we pay less if we remain in good health? Your thoughts.
14 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoNew credit card bill in congress...?
Is anything right with congress passing this bill? It punishes responsible credit card users while helping those that are in big trouble with their bills. I've read that people who pay their bills in full may be assessed an annual fee or a usage charge. What is wrong with this picture?

4 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoWhy do airfares for the better time slots always......?
cost more than the junkie early morning or red eye flights? Sometimes the difference is $100-200 less. Also why are flights with stop overs cheaper than non-stops? It would seem this would cost more in fuel costs overall.
5 AnswersAir Travel1 decade agoA question for the supposed conservatives...?
When President Bush though it would be a good idea to give banks taxpayer money without any provisions attached nobody thought it was stupid. Now when President Obama wants to stimulate the economy and at least get some decent paying jobs going you poo poo it...why?
31 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhen everyone makes their baseball playoff picks, why do they somehow think...?
that the teams with the best regular season record will prevail? Since wild card spots have been added, several teams have won the world series from that starting point. Playoffs are not regular season games. It takes a different mentality to win it all. By the way, 5 of the 8 managers in this year's postseason have won the world series. How cool is that? This should be good.

Just reading the stats this morning, only 6 teams of 31 have a better than .500 record. Even many of the 1st place teams stink on the road.
6 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoWhy are we taxed to death in the U.S?
We have federal and state income taxes, social, security, and medicare from our paychecks. Then we pay property taxes, sales taxes, junk food taxes. There is a tax on about everything we buy in addition to what uncle sam takes from our check. I'm all for paying my fair share but when is enough...enough?
14 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoDon't you think that the presidential candidates are like pushy car salesmen?
The reality is 80-90% of what they promise if elected will not be acheived. So why do we get so excited to vote for them? Many people don't realixe that if there policies are so good that would have tried to pass legislation on these subjects already. Presidents have less power than congress. Congress enacts laws and the president can sign or veto...congress can override any veto. So, folks why all the hoopla?

how do they figure that the sampling error is only +/- 4%. How are they able to extrapolate that so and so will win by a certain margin. This seems bizarre yet somehow it's usually pretty close to the actual number. Your thoughts?
9 AnswersElections1 decade agoHow do folks figure McCain can beat Obama when the best speaker always wins in recent history?
Reagan vs. Carter
Reagan vs. Mondale (landslide victory)
Bush vs. Dukakis
Clinton Vs. Bush
Clinton vs. Dole
Bush vs. Gore (actually Gore won the popular vote) split decision here
Bush vs. Kerry (What were people thinking? Kerry was so dull)
Obama vs. McCain (He can't keep a hyper kid awake)
Your thoughts?

With democrats trying to make our country socialist with nationla healthcare, and republicans trying to restrict us more with the patriot act and stripping away our civil liberties, who is going to help us get back to the basics of freedom in this country? No single candidate running for president seems to care about our freedoms that our ancestors fought so hard for. Why?

Let's face it. Many people were duped into buying something they cannot afford and many lenders were giving out mortgages to everyone with a pulse. Are we going to be this so-called capitalist country and bail people out everytime you or I make a mistake? Your thoughts.
