Q about comm. guidlines?

I had the same problem in the beginning. I was afraid to edit because I did not know if it was allowed or not. Sometimes I edit my answer or my question now, especially if I feel it has been unclear to the asker or the answerer.

I also found out if you delete an answer, you are no longer allowed to answer the question any longer. Just wanted to add that because you have gotten such good responses.

P.S. Like some said, you haven't done anything wrong. The edit and delete is for you.

These little buttons are for you... in case you would like to Edit or Delete your answer! For God's sake don't report yourself! Only kidding I don't think you have that option!

My eye keeps catching the..... 10 minutes ago or, 4 hours ago. Which is ya way of showing us when you answered the question! And... I also like the advertisements on the right side of the page... depending on the words in the questions they can be really funny!!!

Everybody has those options after a message is posted. We have the choice of returning to the message and deleting it, or editing it (in which case, the message box re-opens and we can edit the text and then re-save it.) So, nothing has been done wrong -- it's just the way the system is built.

And now you know how those wars are being fought back 2 or 3 pages. If you know who is who and read the edits and the asker details you can see a whole soap opera unfold for days . Just had this pointed out to me recently.

You are not doing anything wrong. Those are options for you to either delete or edit your answer, not for other people to delete it.

I actually just edited this answer to correct a misspelling.

I had that same problem when I first joined this elite group. I finally figured it out. I also figured out that I am not as fast a learner as I used to be.
