Atheists, can I wish you a Merry Christmas?
I just wanted to be nice to my Atheist friends on YA R&S -- so Merry Christmas
And please let me know if this offends you so that I can apologize as an additional comment.

sorry Rose
A shout out Merry Christmas to my agnostic friends

Certainly. I'm happy you feel like extending a hand to those you disagree strongly with to celebrate goodwill.
Now imagine if instead of doing this to celebrate your deity's birth, you did this every day of the year! Imagine if all of humanity could come together to wish each other peace and happiness without sectarian violence around the world! Imagine if we weren't "christians" or "atheists," but all just "humans!" Wouldn't that be worth infinitely more? Wouldn't that be infinitely more precious?
...Argh, enough with the hippie rant. I wish you a Merry Christmas too!

I'm so glad you asked this question. I've been wanting to wish some of the atheists a Merry Christmas, but was afraid to do so, and Happy Holidays somehow seems like a denial of Christ.
You rock!

ameaturemedievalist- One concern I have regarding having Christmas every day... do you realize how freaking expensive that could get?? It makes me wanna cry just thinking about it!....
Anyway- I'm not offended when another wishes me happy Kwanzaa or Happy Hanukkah... why should others be bothered if i wish them a Merry Christmas?
Well, Merry Christmas, everyone!!! *hugs all around*

Sure. I don't take myself so seriously as to be offended by that. Merry Christmas to you too.
