Tell me how you would gameplan against LSU if you were Ohio State...?

College football is real football. 10 for the best defensive scheme. To me, we need to man up on the receivers and pressure Matt Flynn and Ryan Perrilloux when they try and run the spread. Last year we just sat back in a soft zone and let Florida throw all over us... Whatcha guys think?

Update:

Nope, the NFL is for spoiled rich guys who give 70% effort...

Just try and do what they have been doing all season and that will be enough on defense. The area they would need to really concentrate on is their offense. Switching the style you have been running all season for the last game can be problematic, but it would make the opposing defense change their strategy on the fly.

I would be careful playing man coverage on LSU when they have Ducet, Byrd and Holiday in the game. Those three have major speed and if the blitz gets beat it will be for some major yards. If One of those is not in the play then it would be safer to run man and a full blitz. When Hester and Dickson are both in the game prepare for short plays and slants across the middle. Playing soft zones is a good way to lose the game. I would come on heavy and keep it up until the game is completely out of reach.

I hope it is a good game. See ya there!!!

Offesively I would run it off tackle. LSU has looked weak against the run, especially with Dorsey out of the game. I would definatly have 2 or 3 guys on him at all times. I would throw a few slants and fades to keep LSU defenders honest. If Boeckman can't make the throws, then he can't make the throws.

Defensivly I would zone blitz. I am not impressed with either LSU QB's decision making. I would bring pressure from different sides, and I would make sure to leave a safety back, they have 2 guys that can burn.

If I were OSU's head coach, I would come out passing, then come back with the run game. Try to keep LSU's defense off balance. LSU has a good run defense that has on occasion callapsed.. I wouldnt come out expecting to run at first.. Keep LSU's defense on the field and the run game will open up. As for stopping the offense, I would concentrate on stopping the run and Ryan Periloux. LSU always runs on first down. Put 8 or 9 in the box and stop 1st down... That sets up 2nd and long, forcing LSU to pass the ball....

I kep LSU's offense off the field running Beanie Wells. When on Defense I blitz Flynn with Gholston and Heywood . I have ALauranitus spy on Hester he's too dangerous as a pass reciever and back. I have Jenkins and Washington play man to man and use bump and run to thrw off Dochett and LaFell. Should be a good game.

Ohio Sate on offense has to pound it early on the ground and then hit the air with some tricky plays in the mix to try and fool a tough LSU defense and on defense they need to blitz heavy and cover man to man -- blitzing will be the only way to disrupt the passing game

I think if Ohio St. executes well they can compete but if they allow LSU to do what they want there will be no way they will win

OK first off LSU is a passing team so go with a nickle look:

Then offensively use the I formation for runs and shotgun 4 WR for passes.

    Thats what I would do.

Just bring plenty of bandaids. You'll need them to help stop the bleeding. Buckeyes will fall like a sack of manure.

I thought NFL was real football...

Maybe over power LSU with their height.

Run the ball, control the clock.
