Is it true that cockroaches can't stand cucumber?

Edit. Not that I have cockroaches. It's from an advert for Trivial Persuit.

    It appears so! When my parents saw a cockroach in their kitchern last year, I went all over the net looking at cockroach sites!

    This was one of the most oft-repeated facts about them.

    Maybe it makes them burp! ??

    I've never heard that cockroaches hate cucumber, only ants.

    Apparently cockroaches dislike catnip, but as I have never had any cockroaches I cannot verify that.
