What's going on?

I was just at Target hoping to finish up Christmas shopping, I was walking around the children clothes isle for about 15 minutes. All of a sudden my body starts to get hot, I'm sweating and I feel like I am going to pass out. I sat down for 5 minutes and continue shopping. 15 minutes later I started to get the same symptoms. That was it, not going to take anymore risk so I went to pay for whatever I could put in my basket and now I am home. I'm wondering if it's something I should be concerned about? I am 28 weeks, and this is the first time that I've felt this exhausted after walking 15 minutes, I've walked longer before and never had these symptoms.

Update:

Thanks everyone for your response. I am fine, I just need to relax and drink more water.

I think that is normal. It seems like the 1st trimester you are normally exhausted and 2nd trimester you will get a burst of energy and then the 3rd trimester you start to slow down and feel exhausted again. At least that is what it was like for me and my friends anyway.

You may be over doing it a little bit, with being the holidays and everything. You need to make sure you take time through out the day to relax and put you feet up. I wouldn't be too concerned... just take it easy.

Sounds like you could have over done it for the day. I've noticed I get the same way if I try to do too much in one day without eating or drinking enough water. Try taking it easy for a while, and if this happens again, call your doctor to make sure something else isn't wrong!

    Good luck!

Drink some water, relax, and call your doctor just to make sure you're ok. Also...the stores around me are REALLY HOT inside too, and I get all sweaty and light-headed when I go out. I have to take off some layers just to make it, and when I finally get into the cool fresh air outside, I feel SOOO much better!

You're pregnant, the baby is growing, shopping is stressful particularly this time of year with too many people about - I'm 27 weeks I get this too. Take a rest, drink some water, mention it at your next appointment. I don't think it's anything to get too worried about though.

i went through the same thing with all my children. I would go shopping with my mother and would have to sit down in the middle or the racks so i didnt pass out. it could be anything, for me it was my iron levels were very very low, i was on iron pills but it just wasnt enough sometimes. anyway you should take to your doc about it they can run tests and see if maybe your lacking something

I got them while pregnant too and I was told it was a hotflash, I still get them on rare occasions and its always while shopping. I would give your clinic a buzz and just ask , Im sure they have heard pretty much every concerned mommie to be question we can think of. Good luck and happy holidayz

have you been drinking enough water? you could be dehydrated. it could also be low blood pressure, hunger or maybe even overheating if you were wearing a heavy winter coat in the store. take it easy the rest of the day, make sure you are eating properly and drinking plenty of fluids and you shoudl be fine.if it continues, call the doc.

Sounds like you need to contact your doctor asap, it could be signs of pre-eclapsia, which is high blood pressure. If it's not treated immediately, the only way to cure it is delivery and you don't want that to happen this early. Good luck to you and I hope you and your baby are ok!

You might be coming down with the flu or some other virus. Probably nothing to be concerned about. Check with your Dr. anyway just to be safe.

  • Sounds like you are Dehydrated!

    Push alot of water!
