It is possible to have a one time dialysis for removal of certain poisons in acute and serious poisoning or toxin ingestion cases. Also for treatment of Acute renal failure. Acute renal failure may resolve and kidney function may return to normal, hence may not require further dialysis.

It is definitely good, I drink Monavie which is high in Acai and it did a 180 turn on my health and made me feel really good. It helped my blood pressure, insomnia, and weight loss. The trick about Acai as with most anything you eat is to get it with something that promotes it's abilities. For example Monavie contains 19 different fruits including the Acai berry and they all work together in the body to get the greatest potential from all the fruits. Another important thing is to get it fresh, from what I have heard the Acai berry goes bad very fast after harvesting which is why no produce stores in the USA sell it fresh.

it is very commonly used as an emergency measure for treating various kinds of poisonings ,,,sumtimes just to lower levels of calcium or potassium in the body...when high levels can be life threatening especially potassium levels.also for treatment of acute renal failure when only one or two dialysis can support kidney function and bring the patient to normal .
