If you don't want to pay for a non published phone number you could just change your last name to anything you want and have it listed that way?

I have had Verizon dsl for 2 weeks now and ever since I have been intermittently kicked off line. When I call to complain I have usually fixed the problem myself, I have to reconnet because I work from my home. Today I called to ask for a technician to come to my home and the rep said they can't put a complaint in because my line looks fine. He told me next time I'm kicked off not to fix it myself and wait til a technician can come out. He said if the technician tests the line and sees it's working he will cancel the work order automatically. This is bull since I pay verizon for their services!! Has anyone else had this problem with Verizon?

I rented out my mobile home to a so-called friend. She left the place with tons of garbage laying around plus a bed that her son had puked all over in. Kerosene from a heater leaked on to the kitchen floor plus water damage from the washing machine she never told us about. She told me to keep the 700 deposit. We pay renters insurance but i'm not sure if they will cover the cost of damage due to her lack of non caring. Tiles from the kitchen have to be replaced and rugs have to be pulled up too. Do you think insurance will cover the costs?

Above ground pool sand filter, model s166t. My husband is going nuts!! The problem is the legs that have to stay open, then how can you fill the tank with sand? Then when you get it filled it's hard to push it down through all that sand? It's impossible!!

My In-laws own a reverse mortgage. They got it like 6 years ago. Since then my Father in law died and 6 people have moved in with my mother in-law, 2 of which are toddlers. They are leeches, another story). Can my Mother in law lose her home if she gets caught letting them live there? She won't kick them out, everyone has tried and we fear she will lose her home. If it is against the Reverse Mortgage loans to have other people living there should I turn her in? Will the Reverse Mortgage Company make these leeches move out? Could they kick my Mom out? Please help with any info. TY

If the child is being really bad and hitting the parent, is it wrong to put the child in their bedroom and lock the door for punishment?

I'm trying to find headphones that will work with my computer, but all i'm finding are stereo headphones.

My 13 yr. old niece has a Myspace profile with the song "Me so Horny" playing in the background, She has posted pictures of herself that I personally feel are inappropriate for a 13 yr. old. My 11 yr. old niece has her mood set as horny. I told my sister their Mother about this and her answer was Horny means silly. Without going into how I personally feel about all of this I want to ask the parents out there if this is accepted by society today. I myself am not a parent so maybe I'm out of the loop of todays culture. Please help me to understand. Thank you.

I've known my girlfriend for over 25 years but we lost touch after high school. We got reaquainted several years ago for a short time then again this past summer. She needed a place to stay so my husband and I rented out our mobile home to her and her son this past August. She's a single Mom. Her son has A.D.D. After spending more time with her and her son since they moved in I've been appalled at how she speaks to him. While I'm on the phone with her she yells at him and says the F word constantly. I have also heard her say to him, "I'm going to kill you" while she's yelling at him if he doesn't listen to her. I don't know what to do. I've come to notice she has mental problems. I've asked her not to swear at her son in front of me because it upsets me, but she continues to do this over the phone. Her lease is up in Feb. Should I evict her or try and talk to her about my concerns. Also could her behavior be affecting her son's ADD. any info would help. TY.

My local Burger King sells the BK Mocha Joe. Unfortunatly I made the mistake in loving it! Whenever I go there lately they don't have it available. I called the main Burger King and they told me it's suppose to be available whenever they are opened. I'm just curious if this is happening to anyone else. I will take my business back to Dunkin Donuts and keep buying their Mocha Coolata's and spend more!
