In my heart it means that I am thankful to still be here and that I am looking forward to whatever surprises life has for me that day. I want to live each life to the fullest and touch as many lives as possible in a positive way.

I just mean that I want toREALLY live..and I want the same for others

    Good morning Uncle

Well, as a person who believes in wishes, I am wishing that person or persons a good morning. One summer night outside my home we had company. We were sitting in the flower garden and talking. It was so hot, I simply said I wish it would snow. It started snowing only in my yard, no where else. My company left. It was beautiful though. lol Sadly, my company never came back.

To me it's a way of wishing the person to have a good morning. I hope that if they are feeling down that maybe it will help lift their spirits some at the least.

It's a bit of social grooming, engaged in before any communication with content takes place.

    Similarly "How are you?"

The response "The white-hot needles of agony are somewhat less severe this morning"

is not the correct answer even if it's true. "Fine" is expected, even if your leg's dropping off.

(And people even say "fine" when presented with the question as a genuine one at a doctor's appoiintment, I've been informed, so programmed are they into this convention.)

So to me it's "Here's the niceties, now can we get down to some real information exchange, please?"

When I say good morning. I try to express a positive attitude and outlook. I have an upbeat personality and if it rubs off on someone that would be great.

Actually these days the "Good" is often left out. You often hear "Morning" and you respond with the same.

Or if the "good" is a part of the greeting, often the response is a "Whats so good about it?".

To me it means "hey I like you and would like the first thing you hear in the morning to be something pleasant."

There is nothing I hate more than when I tell someone "good morning" and instead of saying it back they nag. Rude morning impression.

Your "heart" is a muscle, primitive people thought that it was the center of life an thought, and the misconception has continued as a form of speech to indicate an emotional response.
