What is your favorite charity?

To who do you LOVE to give your money?

I have two.... Kiva (kiva.org) where my donation of $25 helps give small low/no interest loans to private businesses worldwide, to help people provide services/goods to their community,

and Playpumps (playpumps.org) where my $5 donation helps worldwide creation of clean water pumps that is pumped by kids playing on merry-go-rounds (roundabouts)!

How about you?

The future of the world does not happen through government programs, but by the activity of individuals making a difference.

Call it paying forward.

Call it charity.

Just do something!

My favorite charity is Food For The Poor.

Food For The Poor raises funds and provides direct relief assistance to the poor, usually by purchasing specifically requested materials and distributing them through the churches and charity organizations already operating in areas of need. In this way, the organization serves the poor with dignity and ensures the most appropriate use of donors' funds.

My favorite is The Salvation Army. They do more to help people than every government program in existence, and they do it more efficiently. And they help everyone, by the way, not just Christians.

My second favorite is Good Will. I always try to give money to The Salvation Army, and used but usable items and clothing to Good Will.

Anything that helps the future health of children. And at this time of year we always give a gift to "Toys for Tots". I agree, pay it forward. Happy holidays!

St Jude's Children's Hospital if one of my favorite charities. They take the chidren that everyone else has written off for dead, they don't charge anyone who cannot afford to pay and they help and even cure many of those same children.

The ASPCA and the Humane Society. I feel good about being able to help those who have no way to help themselves. I speak up for animals because they can't speak up for themselves. The actions of humans lead to the murder of helpless pets everyday. I can't believe that in this day and age people actually allow the governmentally sanctioned slaughter of animals simply because they are too irresponsible to take care of them.

Salvo's and Red Cross, blue nurses (community nurses) and RSPCA. I support more, but those I like to support when I can.
