Go to Dunn & Bradstreet and enter your business information, including your EIN#. This is the company that monitors business credit. Follow their recommendations on establishing a good business credit history.

I would also try to get a line of business credit at your local business bank. If they turn you down, they will help you get a loan with the SBA (Small Business Administration) who pretty much will help fund any business.

You may have to start an account with a small vendor. The initial purchases might be COD and then you can build to a credit line. Larger companies are going to insist on your personal guarantee which will require your SS#.

You must provide your ssn. even if you have an LLC. Most companies will provide you the business credit card, and won't report it on your personal credit report.

A business had a number similar to a person's social security number. For a sole proprietor, it is the ss#. For a partnership or corporation, is is the federal tax ID number.

If you have a sole proprietorship, you'll have to give them your ss#.

Without your SS # they can't check your credit rating. You will pretty much encounter this anywhere you go.
