Any teachers bringing in a second income? If so, doing what?

teaching privately and some write exam papers....

I'm going to school to be a teacher, and I've thought about this quite a bit. Right now I'm a waitress making really good money. If I keep my Saturday shift at the restaurant when I start teaching, I can still bring in a good $150... more if I work downtown. You won't make that kind of money at just any place, but I'm proof that it's possible.

Plus, you've got your foot in the door and can get better shifts when summer rolls around.

I know quite a few teachers that got involved in a home based business. What subject are you teaching?

My sister in law is a preschool teacher and she works at a high end retail store on the weekends. I also have a friend who teaches 2nd grade and she tutors kids at a local place (like sylvan) a couple days a week. Unfortunately I do not know how much extra they make.

Have you considered Internet Marketing. This would be a great way for you to make extra income as you can do your marketing in the evenings.

I know of a teacher that in fact is a member of one of my marketing forums who is now making making a six figure income.

The best way to learn about Marketing is from two graduates that are now making over a million dollars a year.

Teaching

Coach a sport, you can make anywhere from 3000 to 10000 as a varsity head coach.

You should try tutoring, at like sylvan or make an add in the local paper. Or, you could try babysitting.
