If you didn't pay income tax, would you be more likely to donate a portion of your income to charity?

I'm just curious.

It would depend upon my level of income. At this point in time, I barely scrape by. But, if I was making at least 50,000 a year, then I certainly would. By the way, not one penny of the income tax goes to pay for any social services, or anything else that benefits humanity as a whole. It only goes to pay for the interest on the worthless fiat currency that our government borrows from the Federal Reserve (a private FOR PROFIT, bank) when the constitution never authorized any entity other than Congress to print our currency, or mint our coins. Our founders were always against a private central bank, controlling our money supply, and they were always against a direct and unapportioned tax on the labor of United States citizens living and working in the United States. That is why the constitution did not allow for this kind of tax, and in truth there is no law. *sm*

No, charities are some of the biggest ripoffs in the world(look at "overhead" costs vs what actually gets donated and you'll know what I mean) and I don't believe in income taxes. I believe in a consumption tax that taxes people by what they spend. That levels the playing field for rich and poor. I'm sick of seeing the government piss away all of the tax dollars they get without one thought to where it came from and how hard people worked for it.

but if you pay a portion of your money to charity. its tax deductible and you get your money back. So I don't think thats why people don't donate to charity.

If I did not have to fund useless government programs that I will not participate in like welfare, social security, medi-Cal, I'd definitely donate more of my income.

Not at all, why would I?
