The *B* word offensive?
So I was talking to some co-workers this morning...and we were discussing the *B* word, and they both being males....said that they get really defensive if there gf's call them that.
So men....What about being called a b**ch offends you? Does it offend you more then it would be if your gf/significant other called you a b**tard?

Yes, it is very offensive.
Also, when people talk to me like that they are showing me their ignorance and low standards. Someone I probably won't like to have any relationship with.
-(I have many, but many friends, relatives, families, and a women in my life, and no one, not even one of them talk to each other with such disrespect and ignorace. None.)-

When men call each other b*tch, they're usually just joking around. When a man calls a woman a b*tch, it's usually because he is trying to be extremely insulting and degrading and to make her feel like she is unworthy of the basic respect granted even a female dog. The man says it because he means to be mean.
Therefore, when a woman calls a man b*tch, the man has usually done something to REALLY deserve it, and the woman REALLY wants to say something to de-nut him.

If a guy is being called a *****, he must not be a very masculine fellow...now you have two guys being called that? hmmm, sounds like a couple queers if you ask me.
As a woman, I'm not offended by it because most likely I did something to deserve it.
People say it like it's a bad thing.

There are two meanings of *****: one is equivalent to b*stard, the other meaning is... I guess it's like lackey or servant. I don't really know how to define it. Guys don't like it when they're girlfriends call them b*tch because of the possibility that they're using the latter meaning and attempting to assert dominance.
This is a no-no for guys. You see, most guys, even the ones that are henpecked or whipped and the ones that truly are their girlfriend or wife's b*tch, like to pretend that they're in charge of their relationship. It's just a pride thing that men have.

As so many words it all depends on the context. If the wrong person says it they have an earful coming. If a friend says it and they say it right, I will be laughing.

I agree with Mike...guys will flip out if you call them that....Personally if I'm called that...I usually just laugh and ask is that the best insult that you got...if so try harder...most people are so shocked, they just shut up
