Not that I am aware of. Either way, it takes a switch to turn on/off a light. Be it a mechanical or electronic switch, it still has to be a switch.

One could mount the switch in the fixture or by the outlet either way. I have installed a motion switch on on a wall switch plate and the lights will come on automatically when someone enters a room. Without any movement, the lights will automatically go off after a set amount of time.

    good luck.

No- you nevertheless ought to rewire it and out it interior the wall- the sensor is rather on the wall the place the swap is going. we've that and it grow to be $$$$ even even though it got here with the fan. i individually could return the fan and purchase yet another with a pull chain- at a mild keep. they have a extra suitable selection. i offered a much less costly battery operated sensor mild that comes on once you stroll into the room to get a some mild so i would be sure to tutor on the fan. good success.

Somewhere there has to be a switch to turn it on. It could be a PIR (motion sensor switch) or an X10 (powerline remote) or photosensor. Each has a switch.
