Has anyone read Bangkok 8?

I really dug the book. I thought the author really nailed like if Bangkok. What did you think?

Update:

Yeah, I read Bangkok Tattoo and thought it was really good as well, but it got a little preachy for me in parts. I found asides to the 'Farang' reader about our culture and our foreign polices etc. (although fair) to be very un-Thai like. But it's still worth reading.

Great book, especially for those of us that live here, or spend a lot of time in Thailand. I don't know the inner workings of the police in Bangkok, but it's what I imagine it to be like. If you don't already know, there is a kind of sequel to "Bankgok 8,"

"Bangkok Tattoo" by John Burdett, a silimlar style book, but all new adventures of Sonchai.

I enjoyed it - though I thought the ending was a little too hollywood, a bit over the top - - also - the main chaacter named Bpee [ older brother ] - well, you live here - you know that being called Bpee is not unusual, but - Would his superior officer also call him bpee? Ah minor points - but certainly some memorable scenes - -
