While your ISP may provide you with a bunch of cheap PCs to go with your internet connection subscription, be aware that you are usually required to be locked in to their service for quite a period and at the prevailing rate at which you avail of this promotional offer. Long term, this may prove to be more costly. The only advantage is that they indirectly subsidize/ finance your starting capital.

Also, you are restricted on the specs of the units. I suggest you buy your own custom built spec PC tailored to your internet cafe. (eg You do not optical drives for all your rental units) The best vendor in Manila, price wise is PC Gilmore hands down. They offer the lowest price among other computer vendors for at least 5 years now. (www.pcgilmore.com.ph) I have noticed. My favorite tech staff of theirs is Jun at their Greenhills branch. He knows his tech stuff. While you may be based in Dipolog, you may still want to inquire with them and then consider shipping it to your location, assuming they do not have a local store or affiliate in your area. I advise you stay from 2nd PCs. and buy the same specs for the 15 PCs. This will make repair and maintenance very much easier. Hope this helps.

I'm in Cebu, I bought mine at Xcomp. I don't know where in Dipolog you can purchase brand new computers though.

Xcomp gives big discounts if you buy in volume like I did. The good thing is they have their own service team so, whenever you have problems with any of your computer, you are guaranteed of their service anytime and they charge you less for repairs.

Computers used for internet cafes ( specially those used for gaming ) need higher specifications.

PC Express ( www.pcx.com.ph ) has an internet cafe package.

If you are interested, send me an e-mail at

rmjavier94@yahoo.com. I will send you a copy of the price list / specification that I have ( its in a Word file )

    Happy Holidays !

Try shopping for computers at SM City Cebu or from Computer suppliers with service centers such as CBX computers, in front of SM city. Cebu beside Banco de Oro. You can compare their prices with other computer stores in Cebu City like Thinking Tools and others.

Check out the business package offers of pldt and smart bro. They may provide the computer units, depending on the package you choose.

Do you have a Byteworld store near? They have a lot there. Or try what the first answerer said.

Source(s): We have an internet cafe with 28 computers including the "server" where a Cafe Net program is installed to keep track of the time of the customer. You could also start by just your 15 PCs, papers, and a watch. (Don't put a clock to make them lose track of their own time if you have a Cafe Net program!)
