I am a full time carer for my mum. I have no friends. I am 52. I live by the sea. I am gay. I think that's enough cliches for tonight.

It's never been a big deal to me. I don't really party (anymore) and I'm a bit of a recluse. Plus I really need to get some artwork done tonight. I'll light up a fatty as the ball drops, tho. Happy New Year!

I dont mean to sound like a party pooper, but, I have to agree with Glenn. Come midnight, you get some drunken bum, who you dont know from Adam, kissing and hugging you. People who dont normally speak to you for the rest of the year, wish you all the best and then back to not speaking again for another twelve months. You try to get a drink at the bar and you wait about twenty minutes to get served, everybody shouting at the same time. And then you get the ones that have to spoil it for everyone else by fighting. One minute they are wishing everyone all the best, then, the police are called because some fight is breaking out or someone has touched someones girlfriend. No thankyou. I have two wonderful teenage daughters and I would sooner be at home with them seeing in the New Year together. I do though sincerely wish you all a very happy 2008. Be safe. xx

I want to be with the good people who have turned down the parties (like myself), want to be on their own and ignore the crying girls, lairy blokes at 2am and the I really love you speeches with the drooling! Lot safer on Yahoo Answers!

Also I've been feeling rough for a few days but it's New Years Eve so let's party!

We can be and are doing anything in your imagination on here tonight and no-one will know!

    So, shhh!

Tell the ladies in negligees to get another bottle of Champagne and turn the music up!
