Xbox 360 repair...how long does it usually take?

I just got the damn red rings and just got off the phone with a rep... He said it should be 3-5 days before I get the box to send it to them in and then another 2-3 weeks before it gets returned to me. Is this pretty close to accurate for anyone who has had to get repairs?

Update:

I live near Warren, OH...Is the only repair center in Texas? I don't see how that would work...

it really depends on how close you live to the repair center(TX). here in cali, it takes about 2-3 weeks.

yes TX is the only place, i think. It really depends on how busy they are, or how fast they "fix" it, they'll most likely just send you a refurbished one. you could get it back in a couple of weeks, but it could also take 3-4 weeks.

from a week to a month and a half.

Source(s): I got mine in a month and a half, but I was harassing them every day.

yeah, thats real accurate. It took them exactly three weeks for them to return mine from the day they received my 360. It can depend on where you live, I live in Salem, but I guess if you live closer to Texas you receive it earlier. And my 360 works fine now.

It is accurate. It took about 4-5 days for the box to come, and then about 2 weeks to be repaired and to be returned to me.
