My wife walked out in 1991 whilst I was on a fishing holiday; she took the garden shed amongst other things; we're back together and subsequently have 2 daughters and a new shed!

It's never good to back-track. It represents a sick obsession and an inability to move on. There's a reason why you separated/divorced. Learn from it and move forward.
