what is so special about the Iowa caucus in particular?
when in our country's history did Iowa get picked to be the one state where this important event takes place? why not New York or Texas or anywhere else? there is so much buzz about this particular event i wondered how it came to be this way. anyone out there know?

It is the first of many...your state, and every state will have their own caucus or primary. Iowa is getting a lot of attention because theirs is the first....after today the focus will move to New Hampshire and then on to the other states.

No, Larry. The problem is that people like you have stopped caring. The government answers to us, and we get the government we deserve. When people stop paying attention, the wolves move in and take control. If all Americans would stop being apathetic and hold politicians accountable, things would change. If you stop paying attention for too long, you may very well wake up one morning and find yourself with no liberties and a government agent asking to see your papers.

Personally, I don't see what's so special about any of them. I have lost interest in politics. Government is out of control and has become a dangerous entity to most Americans. The problem is that most Americans aren't smart enough to see this...
