You are too young to test the outer boundaries of your instrument. Best to concentrate on music studies (piano lessons maybe) and begin voice studies in earnest around age 19. As a basso profundo (which is very rare) you will have a high falsetto range, but that may not be what you are thinking of. Find a qualified teacher in your area. I think the best test of a teacher, is if his/her students all sound great and all sound unique. S/he should have connections so that you can get work and exposure to the singing community.
Above all: have fun and keep seeking the joy in singing.

There is no harm in studying voice at age 16 (or younger); if nothing else, it keeps you from singing with improper technique and saves you from having to relearn your "instrument".
However, since you are 16 and have a voice that is still developing, you should not be trying to force more range out of your voice. You should focus on technique and strengthening the voice you currently have. Talk with a voice instructor about your concerns.
