Saturated fat???
I had read somewhere (not sure where) that you should not consume more than something like 7 grams of saturated fat in a day. However, when I look for anything else that might confirm this, I find that you should not consume more than 10 percent of your daily calories in fat. If on the label it is labeled as grams, how do you figure out what the calorie intake of saturated fat is? Let's also take into account that there is no trans-fat either.

The recommended amount is less than 10% of your overall calories. If you're eating 2,000 calories a day, 10%=200 calories from saturated fat which is about 20grams (200calories divided by 9 calories per gram of fat). Hope this helped.

I do not follow the mantra that saturated fats are bad especially since the help raise good ( HDL ) cholesterol levels.
