Aussies! Where to move in WA?
Hey there, I'm from Melbourne and my partner and I are looking to move to Western Australia. Which area do you think would be best for us? We like the beach and party life, but don't want to go anywhere too touristy or busy. We will be searching for work but need to know what area to search for. Give me your best suggestions!

I live in the Suburbs around Perth city, try Trigg, Scarborugh, Churchlands, Double View, there are plenty of suburbs that are about a ten minutes drive from the beach and a 20 minute train ride into City central!

You could live somewhere around the city northbridge has the nightlife, maybe East Perth or South Perth. Some beachy areas are Cottesloe, Fremantle, Scarborough, Jindalee, Joondalup, but they can be pretty pricy. I wouldnt suggest moving to areas like Mandurah, Bunbury and Albany. They're down south, nothing down there and will be hard for you to gt good jobs. spose one dvantage is that they are near the beach

How about Rockingham or Mandurah, they are located on the coast- south of Fremantle. You'd get quite a lot of tourists there on a nice Sunday afternoon but it wouldn't be as busy as somewhere like Fremantle. It's possible to commute to Perth City from there although it's a bit of a hike from Mandurah.
It really depends how much money you want to spend on accommodation, what sort of work you do and how far are you prepared to commute

How bout anywhere on the northern beachside suburbs of Perth. It would probably have to be a fair way north though, housings prices are getting towards the 1m mark nearer the city centre. You would expect to commute a fair way though for work. You would still have access to the city nightlife though (train and freeway access direct into the city and fremantle).

If it has a good beach it will be busy or touristy. How about Fremantle . Bunbury might be ideal but I don't know about work for you there. there's a lot of little places south of Fremantle down the Coast

Hey come down here to Perth, I recommend it - though it's not as big or awefully exciting as Melbourne, it retains a more relaxed culture.
I recommend somewhere near the city and not too far from it.

I don't blame you for moving from Melbourne. Look at Albany on the south coast for a future. Google Albany and check it out.
