80 percent of Americans are happy with there life?

I am happy with my life.

I do not think it's the government's job to make me happy, that's my own business.

They have shown in studies that Republicans tend to be happier with their lives than Democrats.

Only if you believe that a government is responsible for the happiness of their people. I can say that government can be responsible for the misery of their people, but rarely the other way around. If you were to ask most people as to why they were happy, I doubt hardly any of them would say "because of the government".

Most people are happy because of their marriage or relationship with ones that they love, their job, or just overall happy people. I don't think the government is responsible for things like that.

How the heck can so many people be happy in a country, that in stead of taking care o their own people (sick, poor and unemploid) spending billlions on a war (that U.S.A. already has won, according to Mr President!).

I really don't think that 80 % of Americas cityzens can be happy, at least not if they extend their thinking outside their closest environment.

Well, that's a different viewpont than how we usually look at it. We don't depend on our government to make us happy.....we depend on ourselves and those close to us. Everyone finds happiness in thier own ways, the government has not been one of them for most of us in recent years.

It's complete BS that 80% of Americans are happy with their life, (or their president).
