Do you think Juan Pablo will dominate the 2008 season?

Do you think Juan Pablo Montoya will dominate during the 2008 season? Last year I wasn't a fan, but with his aggressive driving style I'm pulling for him to take checkered.

He'll contend for the chase. If he's lucky, he'll win a few races. His success will depend more upon the state of Chip Ganassi Racing than his driving ability.

The usual suspects will dominate again this year but I do look for Juan to progress some. Keep in mind he hadn't even seen the tracks he raced on last year with the possible exceptions of Indy, KC and Homestead. He is a quick study and has undeniable talent. Look for him to improve his finish in the standings and win a couple of races. I even think he will get a win on an oval this year but it won't be a short track.

the two Texas or domicile. Phoenix would not look like a song that Montoya could do solid at. Montoya is fired up desirous to win the chase and a few greater races and Phoenix feels like the form song that desires a driving force with self-discipline going into the pointy turns. i think of Montoya could over rigidity the motor vehicle at Phoenix. The final 3 races at Phoenix Montoya comprehensive sixteenth, seventeenth, and twenty fourth. i think of I definitely have that proper

He'll win an oval this year, but only one. The only reason he won that road course last year was because the usual favorites weren't in contention.

He's not going to become a dominant driver in NASCAR anytime soon. His "aggressive driving style" will get him put in the wall more than it will win him races. NASCAR Cup drivers will not tolerate that kind of behavior for a driver who hasn't established himself. Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart can get away with it because they're proven winners in the sport. When you drive aggressively and don't win, you come across as arrogant and reckless.

I do not think he will dominate, but if Ganassi got there stuff together over the off season, look out, he is a hard charging driver, and he wants to win, he will not dominate, but I look for him to get some wins next yr, road course and his first oval win as well..

JPM may do better in 08 then he did in 07; He may even make the Chase; but with the cars being alot more even then they are in F1 and the increase in Driver Talent in NASCAR over the past decade and half I seriously doubt JPM will ever dominate.

Gordon, Johnson, Smoke, and Kennseth are the Big Dogs in NASCAR and I strongly doubt JPM pocesses the talent or experience to match up to these Legends.

JPM couldn't beat Schumacher or Alonso, so he came to NASCAR thinking he could dominate there only to find Legends of nearly equal calibur waiting for him. JPM may have better luck dominating in the IRL or Champ right now.

I don't look for Juan Montoya to dominate a race, much less the 2008 season. He will probably win one or maybe two,

    but he won`t dominate.

  • No way, No how.. not with a Chip Ganassi race car anyways.. He may have a good season, and I could see him gettin' a couple of wins.. but he will not dominate the season @ all..

Domination in NASCAR is a totally different animal.. something Ganassi will never know about.

I think he will do good but I dont see him dominating like Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon did last year. I say he gets a win or two.

I think he should ease up a little bit and he will make a great driver. He pulled off a great first season, sides a few errors here and there but I think he will be one of the best sooner or later.

    NO

Juan can't drive a loose race car! He is used to having a ton of grip and with a COT on a 1.5 mile track, there isn't a whole lot of it. Last year if you ever listened to his radio, he was always crying when his car was loose! He then wrecks or starts being a pinball, bouncing off of everyone around him. Besides, with the COT, he will get more payback then he did last year.

Plus he is in par equipment! To dominate, you have to be in a HMS car! DUH!
