Are the Republicans in big trouble this year?

In Iowa Obama, Edwards and Clinton had more votes individually than Huckabee's winning caucus amount.

This is in a state that is generally considered a safe Republican stronghold.

Iowa really isn't a Republican stronghold. Iowa went to Bush in 2004 by less than 1% and Gore won it in 2000. Democratic support is strong in Iowa, and I'd predict Democrats will carry it this year. But definitely, more people went with the Democrats, but many Republicans aren't happy with their choices.

I was surprised, myself, that Obama won that one....I think they might be. It will be really interesting to see how NH votes because those people are generally very laid back. I think Guliani will do well there, and probably Clinton since they are pretty close to NY where Clinton was Senator and Guliani was mayor...so those are the ones I think may do well there....however, I don't think Guiliani will get it because of the affairs he has had...especially seeing the way Republicans reacted to B. Clinton's affairs...I think that will get him in the end. So, if the Republicans react to that s I think they will....the Republican winner might be Mitt Romney. Huckabee probably won't do so hot there since it is close to the other's homes and....Romney will do better than Huckabee I think....but anyway answer to your question...Democrats have been better publicized in this year's race, and their opinions on stances have been expressed better. Republicans have not been in the media as much and have not drawn so much attention. Also, people take into account Bush's "presidency". So.....I'm no psychic or anything, but I think that, yes, they might be in trouble. But then again..it's politics...who knows?

I am in complete agreement with I Love Dykes. Ron Paul is the most honest man in Washington. We need RADICAL change in this country. If our man Ron doesn't make it to the show, I'll probably go with whichever D makes it (probably Obama). I don't care about any of the other GOP candidates. They're all fascists.

No political party is ever really in trouble, as long as they have so many people not really knowing what the hell is going on, and not enough people asking the provocative questions.

As a republican, I feel safe this year. The names speak for themselves [Clinton(who would vote for another one of those? Obama(LOL! Inside joke) Edwards (???)]

You need to gain a much better understanding of the Iowa caucus process.

They are not in trouble, yet.

With all the crap that the libs pulled last year, I think it will sit firmly in people's minds and they will soundly loose this November.

    Gimme a break!

Republicans don't know who they want to vote for yet. When the decision is made, the silly socialist agenda of the Dems will die in a big way.
