Is this further proof that criminals are stupid?

Or is it proof that only stupid people become criminals?

The guy had outstanding warrants for marijuana posession, harassment and drunken driving. So does he play it cool and lay low.

NO!

The dumbbell goes speeding through town and gets nailed by radar. When the cops go after him he hides and tries to text his girlfriend to come get him.

What kind of woman would be a girlfriend to a guy like that?

Oh never mind, I probably don't want to know.

Aren't you glad criminals are stupid so they get caught?

Wait, if they weren't stupid they wouldn't be criminals and there would be no crime.

RIGHT????

YES???

NO???

The prisons are full and I doubt if you'd find many with above average IQ, but a lot with under average IQ. Ever see a TV show when they interview them? They make me feel like I'm a Mensa candidate!

Absolutely not. Just because thinking so makes one feel good doesn't make it true

Some of the smartest people have been criminals. If you're running complex operations such as bank heists, cyber-crime

Many notorious serial killers, and mob bosses are caught because of the most mundane things, such as being pulled over for speeding, not paying taxes,

There is no way to absolutely prevent being caught. But I think if you avoid it for years and years, that says something about your intelligence. They've essentially been "tested" and they made it out for years. That's smarter than a lot of average joes

And how many people DON'T get caught.

I'm not endorsing crime in any way. But implying all criminals are stupid is completely misguided.

Crime is not based on being stupid either. There are economic and social "advantages" of committing it. I'm not trying to justify it but they are reasons nonetheless
