Have you ever seen those TV shows that look Jewish at first, but then turn out to be Christian?

I get two or three different religious networks with mt cable system. They show programming from a variety of different faiths. Most shows are pretty up front about the faith they represent, but I have seen some that are a bit odd. There are at least a couple of shows which look like they espouse Judaism, but then in the end they say they worship Jesus Christ, and that Christianity ought to be practiced using Jewish customs and forms of worship.

I have no problem with the idea that, but the way the show is set up seems almost a bit deceiving.

Have you seen shows like this?

What do you think of them?

Yes. I remember I saw something called "Jewish Jewels" on cable access t.v. one day and I was soooo excited because we never get those kinds of Jewish programs. So I turned it on, and the first thing I noticed was that it was crammed with "Jewish symbols." It was first two people talking in a house and the house was literally stuffed with "Jewish" stuff--like more than ever could be deemed normal or acceptable. It piqued my interest but not that much--then, they tried to sell this blanket, talking about how it had the tree of life embroidered on it and all the names of G-d...and I was reading the Hebrew, and it listed "Yeshua" as one of the names! It caught my attention for real but I waited for some sort of explanation. Lo and behold, it was these Xian missionaries using all these Jewish symbols to get Jewish people to convert/come to the light/be completed. I wrote to them in outrage but of course, never received a response back. I think they're disgusting but they're just another trick in the bag of tricks Messianics carry around. It's indecent offensive, and disgusting...but what can I do besides object and do my best to tell people that is NOT Judaism?

It just sounds like Messianic Judaism, or Christianity with a Yarmulke. It's a stealth program, aimed at trying to get Jews to convert to Christianity.

I haven't seen them since I rarely watch television but did you know that Christianity started out as a sect of Judaism and that the church was started and founded by Jews? I read somewhere that percentage wise more people who are of Jewish descent become Christians during their life than any other group of people.

Acts 11:21 The Lord's hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord. 22 News of this reached the ears of the church at Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch. 23 When he arrived and saw the evidence of the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts. 24 He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord. 25 Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, 26 and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.

These things are basically traps to get Jewish people into Christianity.
