06 R6 or K6 GSXR 600 ?

Which would you say is best and why. Basically, from what I see, the R6 although more powerful most of the grunt is further up the revs - making it a perfect track tool but a bit tedious on the road. The GSXR is supposed to be better for the road, and have more of an even power distribution.

I am supposed to be buying a new bike in the coming season (have a 2001 R6 just now which I love, but i need to move on...). I have for's and againsts for both bikes. Another point id like to make is that I am not sure about the styling of the gsxr, they are one of the few sports bikes that still dont have a twin headlight set up... not sure if i like it or not??? What do you think.....

Has anyone ridden both of these bikes in similar conditions - if so, Id really like to hear from you!!!

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Update:

750 Rider... lol. I asked the question before but didnt get much of a response, was hoping for a little more input this time but still not much coming. I know at the end of the day I will need to test ride both, but not going to do that this time of year, so would like some feedback from people who have ridden both machines and who are therefore in a position to comment objectively.

Cheers

Hello, I am going to do my best to describe both bikes for you.

    First, the GSX-R600 K6

The Gsx-R is a very nice bike. It dose just about everything well. The headlight is a very nicely styled single. Looking almost crest like from the front saying I am a Gsx-R baby. Their really isn’t much of anything bad to say about the Gsx-R it's just one of the best "street" 600cc bikes.

    Second, the YZF-R6

Lets see where to start. The bike has always been called a production race bike. You will hear over and over again of R6 owner's bragging about how much of a race bike it is and they probably don’t know why it is. It's frame is extremely stiff to keep its line in high speed corners. It has a short wheel base so it can take corners sharper. The engine is only useable in the 16k+ rpm's and the brakes are very high quality. That's really all the bike is and even with all that it still gets its *** kicked by the ZX-6R and the CBR-600RR.

The R6 is really just barley street able and even at the track it isn’t anything special. On the street you will see why It's considered a track only vehicle. At high speeds the bike shakes allot. It's stiff frame will haunt you in less than perfect road conditions. Ect. Ect. I think your getting my point.

The R6 is just a "poor" bike plan and simple. "Bring it on Yamaha fan boys!"

The R6 is just looks anyone who bought one for the street is just getting it because of it's looks. If anyone says other wise than they don’t know diddaly about bikes.

Another really big problem with the R6 is that it is EXPENSIVE! It's almost as bad as the new 07 CBR-600RR.

I think you should go out and just test drive them both. See what one feels the best too you.

    Good luck

    >_<

    .......Ouch, That stings
