He, like many others, were bullied into voting for the Patriot Act during a time of crisis, pushed through at a speed that few members of Congress could have even read the document, let alone adequately understood the ramifications of such.
Still, government does love power, and the Patriot Act gave them plenty more of it.

unhappy, isn't it? certainly that our cutting-edge political climate punishes applicants mercilessly for admitted they have made blunders interior the previous. So regardless of if all of the Democrats have faith that Patriot Act replaced right into a undesirable concept, they are able to't say they made a mistake. yet as quickly as we learn the Democrats to the Republicans, then a minimum of we've some reason for wish. The Republicans are definitely pathetic while it is composed of civil liberties. Willard Mitt "Double Guantanamo" Romney is a suited occasion.

RON PAUL VOTED NO. the only one. And im a democrat, but i think RON PAUL is the best candidate, but i also feel that the corporate ran media, and bashed ron paul into the ground and he is without a chance. so i say we either vote for edwards or obama, definately dont go with hilary, tis is america not a dynasty, if we vote hilary look at this, we will have had bush clinton clinton bush bush and then clinton again if she gets voted in, that is not a good thing, lets go RON PAUL, OBAMA OR EDWARDS People...

I assume you're basing that on Hillary's accusation during the debate. Have you confirmed his vote? How did she vote?
I'm a conservative, and I'm not trying to knock Obama or Hillary on this issue, but I fully support doing the proper research before arriving at an opinion.

"Voted YES on reauthorizing the PATRIOT Act. (Mar 2006)," but "Voted NO on extending the PATRIOT Act's wiretap provision. (Dec 2005)."
He also only voted for a 3-month extension of the Act, not a permanent one.
