are the Alienware PC's worth the money?

Just curious,

Update:

It would mostly be for gaming, I suppose that it has all the other features, are they Vista?

Alienware is good, it's specifically designed for gaming. But it's also ridiculously expensive. You can find basicly similar specs on other brands (they won't be exactly the same but not much difference) for so much cheaper.

So if you want Alienware for the brand and the looks then I guess it's worth it...but for the setup it's not worth it. Best thing to do is find the perfect setup you like (Alienware or otherwise) then find another brand with a close setup which may need a bit of tweaking here and there to get it identical...or build your own.

I don't know about Alienware customer support or warranties though....so that could make it worth it.

    over-priced. overrated.

What are you looking to do? If its gaming, just buy an XPS, or if you're more technically inclined, get a custom one instead. All you really need to shell out the money for the graphics card and some RAM.

or you could get a Mac, they've been working good for me since I live on Adobe products.

Not in my opinion - they are quite overpriced. Custom builders like myself can easily duplicate their machine specs for less money - so all your paying for is the fancy looks.
