Honey, the bible was written by MAN thousands of years ago. It was writen for MEN not for women or anybody but white, strait, selfindulgent, egotistical,selfrightous,men. It may have been not that way at one time but you also have to think about who translated it. The same type of me. Don't worry about it just be happy if you are ok with it, then dont worry.

The Bible is mythic - -much of it taken from older myths (Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities of the Plain, for example, come from an older Sumerian Myth that had nothing to do with sexuality OR hospitality -- the destruction of the cities was part of a conflict between En.lil and his followers and En.ki and his followers [both Annunaki -- sort of like gods] En.ki started winning the battle between their armies and En.lil asked Anu their father to let the I.gig.i cast down their darts from on high -- which Anu did permit and great clouds of ... poison?... destroyed cities even that weren't hit, while other cities were hit by the darts and were obliterated, as were Sodom and Gomorrah. -- this from the various Sumerian Lamentation texts -- BUT all that made it into the Torah was the bit about Sodom and Gomorrah that came forward into the Bible -- although there are references to the other cities that are not thoroughly explained)

Beyond the borrowing from prior myth, the Bible is full of errors of every sort, as is every other "holy book" used in the book religions. It simply is not the word of God -- just a collection of the myths of man. Well, true transsexualism is not a type of homosexuality and is not directly mentioned in Scripture. There is some mention of eunuchs, but that is it. True transsexualism (which results in hormone use and genital surgery) is a birth defect, not a lifestyle, choice, or sin.

There is no mention about race-mixing being wrong in Scripture in and of itself. Things that seem like prohibitions on that are really prohibitions against beliefs or directions only intended for Israel. There were problems with pagan cultures in the Old Testament, and people were told not to intermarry with them. Race was not the issue, but rather the culture and beliefs. In the New Testament is a verse about not mixing dark with light, but this is not racial. It refers to a Christian and a non-Christian.

As for being gay, it isn't being gay which makes a person a sinner, but being a sinner which makes a person gay. The behaviors we commit come from what already exists in our hearts. Obedience in an area doesn't cancel out disobedience in another area. If you kill someone, the judge won't care how may red lights you didn't run or how many elderly ladies you helped across the street.

I think that there is nothing wrong with it. The Bible has been rewritten so many times and was orginally written by MEN. There is the problem, it's a MAN'S World! The head of the Christian Churches are MEN! And aint it funny that God is supposedly a MAN? (There is not proof that the Bible is fact)! It's just a load of rubbish! I believe in a higher power! But not a God as such!

Also to some of the others saying its a crime against nature: Homosexuality is seen quite frequently in the animal kingdom. Maybe you should actually try research and citing sources instead of just inserting your opinion.

Love is love, leave it alone. Love whom you wantwhen you want. If you love someone then embrace it , show it. Don't hide it be proud. Love is feelings between two people. You can't be affraid. God loves all of his children gay or straight. There just scareing you into being good. Jesus died for our sins, if love is a sin they everything else in human nature should be.

no i don't believe its a sin. i think that the church wants us to believe its a sin cuz its not what they want everyone to go by. i don't think you'll be condemmed to hell so don't worry. yes i do agree that god loves us and judges us by our hearts not by the way we choose to live our lives. i think its stupid the way people try and say no God won't love you if you do such in such. its just ridiculous. i wish the world could see that sometime religion isn't always right. The Bible had to be translated several time so i'm sure not everything is the same from when it was first written. i don't think its a sin if you choose to be gay. don't worry.
