Taylor died in the middle of the season and those guys died in the offseason i think thats why they all wore the #21 , all of them losing their lives was a tragedy of course

There have been four deaths this year in the NFL. Sean Taylor, the two Denver players, and a New England player. The New England player drowned while riding his jet ski. One of the Denver players was in a car accident and the other one died of complications during surgery because of a shooting. Sean Taylor was murdered in his Miami home during a robbery while he was on the injured list. The only team that doesn't have the Sean Taylor sticker on their helmet.

The Patriots wore the #21 for Sean Taylor, for the first game, following his death. Then, the Patriots, along with several other teams, including the Giants, Dolphins, and Green Bay removed the stickers.

The Patriots have been wearing the number 91 on their helmets since the first game of this season, in honor of Marquise Hill, who died while saving a young woman in a jet ski accident, last August.

I never hear any Patriots fans fussing because no one on any other teams, wore the number 91.....

Whoever is fussing about the Patriots and any other team not wearing a number of a player for another team, needs to look deep at their motives, they are not as pure and altruistic as they'd like people to think. In fact, they are pretty and trying to cause troubles, where there should be nothing but respect fore the dead.

Sean Taylor died during the seaon. The NFL asked all players to have wear number 21 as a sign of respect for one week. However they didn't have to continue wearing it after that.

As for any players who died before the team could have asked the NFL for permission to wear their number. The Patriots did it for number 91 all season long.

please roy williams is easily the hardest hitting safety in the nfl. No disrespect to taylors play but hitting is what roy does. He lays the hammer better than anyone at the safety. Now that doesn't mean I am saying he is the hardest hitter in the nfl cuz I honestly don't know how you can compare linebackers, down lineman, and defensive backs on how they hit because it is all different types and levels of hitting.

dont forget about Marquise Hill for the pats, he died over the summer on a lake in Louisiana. The pats wear #91 on their helmet. Only taylor gets his #, probably because he was killed during the season.

Taylor's career so far had been extremely good before he passed away. He was known more than the other two players for Denver.

The other players you mentioned died in the off-season when the teams were not playing. They would have honored them in the same way if it had been during the season.

Why don't we just have gigantic flags at every stadium with Sean Taylor's picture on them. Wow some team didnt wear Sean Taylors number on their helmet!... That is a must! Teams should be required to burn candles before to every game in Sean Taylor's memory..........Enough about Sean Taylor.... Get over it!.... Why dont we just have every a sticker of every number of every football player that past away s pretty much whats its getting to be

When they died... their stickers were featured on all NFL helmets as well... But, I wouldn't expect everyone to wear the stickers all year, except maybe the teams that they were apart of...
